We had an absolutely wonderful time at the wedding! The Collisheen staff were excellent and from the moment I arrived there (around 11:00) things just seemed to be under control. The food was excellent and I have had a number of comments from guests who have (out of their own) told me how delicious the food was. Something else that I appreciated is that Andrew and I had a bar tab (just for ourselves) and on a few occasions my (rowdy) cousins tried to place drinks on our tab and the barmen there were excellent in that they checked with us anytime they tried to do this! The décor was amazing and helped create the exact atmosphere I was hoping for – so thank you to you for that :-)

First and foremost – WOW! Thank you so much for an absolutely beautiful and perfect wedding day! Collisheen totally exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still talking about the function to date – can you imagine!!! The deco came out beautifully….I could not believe it when I walked into both the chapel and the reception hall the morning of the wedding day. I was completely blown away! It’s almost like you were reading my mind when you arranged everything. I must be honest with you that I was very nervous about planning the biggest event of my life while I’m about 600km away! But you made the whole process so smooth and you certainly calmed my nerves at times. You are truly the best!
A big thank you to the Collisheen team that stayed behind throughout the entire function. My guests were certainly well taken care of and I believe the food was sooo good…people went for second servings.

I will certainly forward the wedding pictures as soon as they come out! I loved the venue especially after sunset – the lighting is just exquisite. Oh my gosh – the bridal salon! It’s the best thing ever! We ended up having our photo shoot in there because of the light rain. After a while the drizzle stopped and we had the remainder of the photo shoot in the garden – lucky me. If I had to do it all over again – I wouldn’t change a single thing – it was just PERFECT! Just the way we wanted it to be.

Our experience at Collisheen Estate, Orchid House, totally surpassed our expectations. The service was of the highest standards, and yet so personalised. Hi Amanda, Collisheen was such a dream venue for our wedding, the staff, service and of course the food and décor made it absolutely top notch. It was also very easy for our guests to fine!!!! I HAVE to say you are all absolutely amazing and especially you, Amanda for helping me cope with everything not to mention being there when I really needed some extra advice and help. The day was so amazing and we had absolutely no hiccups whatsoever. I had a lot of positive comments with regards to the food, the guests loved the food and even were telling me how they went up for seconds ha-ha. The lamb was their favourite. Cooked to perfection. I was too nervous and hot to eat, even though I tried and what I did have was lovely. Wayne – you are an amazing DJ, I never got the chance to thank you but thanks so much for producing an awesome night!!! All in all it was A++++ . Our wedding was amazing!!! Really, really incredible. The venue matched our personalities and it was exactly what we wanted. It was chilled and everyone had a very relaxing time. The food was delish. The only thing I can comment on, is the floating service. I know sometimes it can work well, and sometimes it doesn't work well. But some people commented that there was so much food and were so full, and some people said that there wasn't really enough food. But I think that is only because it never got to them. I think in hindsight I probably would have had some floating, but mostly put out on a table where people could help themselves etc. but to Gareth and I it was the most incredible day ever. Thank you for everything you did. It means a lot to me. I really hope you are well and this year brings with it lots of happiness and joy. Love Coralie

With regards to the feedback, we have only got positive things to say! Your staff were superb and we had many compliments on their availability and speed with which they took and delivered drink orders. When there was the issue with the DJ they were there within seconds and took control of the situation. They were friendly, polite and helpful throughout the event. The venue looked beautiful, too. As for the food, everyone has commented on how delicious it was. We were so thrilled with the Collisheen, and our guests were also very impressed. Amanda I don’t think I could have done this without you, I was so calm and relaxed the day of the wedding- and it’s because I knew I could trust you to make everything go smoothly!!!

When I went into the reception it just took my breath away!!! The way you decorated and did the flowers were just magical!!! You have such an amazing talent and you are truly making use of it!!!

The food was just superb – everyone came up to us to tell us that your food was the best they have EVER tasted!!!! Dave and myself were very impressed!!! The use of the different flavors - just melted in my mouth. I never thought I would even eat at the wedding - and did I eat…..I finished all my food and even went for a second helping.

Wayne was an awesome DJ!!! I wanted to go and thank him during the night but never got a chance to!! He kept the guests dancing all night long!!! I heard a lot of guests stayed long after we left- we were even told that this was the best wedding they have ever attended!!! Which says a lot!!! Everyone had so much fun!!! When I 1st met up with Wayne at gateway I knew I could trust him with everything, you made me feel at ease – I didn’t have to worry about anything!!! The sound was great the music was just at the right volume, and the variation of music catered for all.
THANK YOU WAYNE!!! You were amazing!!!

Collisheen was an amazing wedding venue- when we 1st came to look at the venue, we didn’t even have to go inside and have a look to be 100% certain that Collisheen would be the venue we would host our dream wedding at.…We were just taken by the trees, sugar cane fields and beauty of the surrounding area!! When we met Amanda it was just a bonus!!!! Also loved the fact that basically everything could get done at one place, such as the flowers, ceremony, reception, décor and the cake!!!

Staff was lovely, they had such good manners and really took care of the guest! We even had a waitress that took care of the main table the whole night! She was just lovely and made sure we all had something to drink at all times.

Everyone will be talking about our wedding for years to come, but most of all you made our dream wedding come true!! Thank you so much to everybody at Collisheen that worked hard at making our special day just perfect!!

You certainly run a very tight schedule at Collisheen. We knew that we were in very good hands from the start. You were there from 7am in the morning lending a helping ear and hand and we were so surprised at 12:00pm when our wedding was over, you were still there making sure that we were ok. You truly are the best. From communication leading up to the wedding and all the way through weeks after, you still continue to be on top of everything and still so helpful. You gave me such special attention even though I know how busy you must have been organizing other weddings and dealing with so many brides.

The flowers were beautiful, the food delicious, and everyone is still talking about how great you were! The ceremony was all you promised. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The evening was perfect, even the wind and rain didn't deter the ceremony.

Your entire staff at Collisheen was just great!! They definitely get top rating in the area of customer service!! I cannot even begin to tell you how many people complimented us on the whole venue! Everything fell into place beautifully and we had wonderful compliments on the service of your staff, the food and the venue itself. We also noticed the "timing" of everything was superb! The food courses came out with just the right amount of time in-between. We definitely will recommend your facility to others and I am sure there were guests at the wedding that will do the same!

Our wedding day was incredible, out of this world. Not only did we enjoy every second of it, but every single guest I have spoken to said everything from the ceremony, to the decor, the service at reception, friendliness of waiters, immaculate bathrooms, AMAAAAAZING food, everything was just perfect. From the day that we start organizing our wedding which was more than a year ago we received great service and help from all of whom we dealt with. You have a great manner of handling people and all of their needs. Thank you for compromising for us with our guest number. It really meant a lot to me personally.
On the day itself everything happened as promised and on time. I had a lovely time getting dressed in the Bridal salon that was beautifully clean and cold on that hot day. Thank you for making it comfortable and relaxed.
The gardens were gorgeous and people are still raving about your beautiful venue. The food was divine and the people were full of compliments about absolutely every single course and dish being served. I really can't even lift one out because from the Thai beef salad to the brownies and custard slices I personally and everyone there was fully fed and happy.
Now I personally have the experience why people referred me to Collisheen in the first place and I will definitely do the same when ask about the best venue in the area.
Thanks again for every single person that worked until we left there at 12:30 that night and I believe even longer.

Amanda, I didn’t see you much (because you were so busy ensuring our guests were all happy) but believe me when I tell you – you will never be forgotten!!! You made such an impression on my family and all our guests – they all knew who you were and had the nicest things to say. I think we only really met at the end of the evening ... everyone has said you could have been in 10 places at once, you were amazing – my mother couldn’t and can’t stop singing yours and Shalain’ praises, neither can we. You were an absolute blessing on the day! If anyone needed anything you were there, our suppliers were well taken care of under your supervision along with your team of barmen, waiters and staff. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Especially for handling and assisting with the disastrous end to the evening…which we won’t get in to - needless to say the keys were later found. You are amazing at your job, you get so involved and think nothing of getting your hands dirty if necessary. You are very passionate about what you do and it’s great to see… Collisheen is an incredible venue and have staff that make it stand out above the rest ... we couldn’t be happier and thanks to you all our wedding day was BEAUTIFUL!!!

I know I thanked you yesterday morning for the success of Tarryn and Tienie's wedding on Saturday 13th June 2009, but I would like it recorded on paper and passed on to all members of staff. Your own professional manner and ongoing pleasantness is unique and rare. You obviously love what you do and it shows ... thanks very much. Lindi was exceptionally diligent and got everything done efficiently and with a good attitude. The barman, (unfortunately his name eludes me just at the moment) was so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Each one of the staff did their job without complaint ... great! The hostess on Saturday evening, I think her name was Amanda (?) was also brilliant, went way beyond the call of duty ... even moving a couch into the venue for one of the kids to sleep on. She was so friendly, chatting to the guests and making sure everything ran smoothly and calmly.

The food was brilliant, plenty of it and so, so tasty! I heard much raving about the snacks too, though I did not personally sample them. Compliments to the cook, as they say! I seem to be running out of superlatives at the moment, so suffice to say that we will happily recommend Collisheen as a wedding venue to anyone who asks.

On Friday the 29th May my daughter Malindi had the wedding of her dreams. It was the culmination of a vision I think she has had since a child and in every way it exceeded even her expectations. She dreamed of a magical fairyland where she would be the princess and everything would for one wonderful night be perfect. Perfect it was.
Yes we were able to fill it with beautiful flowers and decorate it all and provide her with the perfect backdrop but that was not all. I do not have enough praise for you especially Shalain, and the entire Collisheen staff for the outstanding wedding you gave us. From the time I arrived on Thursday to do the flowers it was obvious that you had everything under superb control. We were met with hot coffee and tea and home made biscuits and nothing was too much trouble for you or your staff. Your concern for me on a personal level was so appreciated and all you did not go unnoticed. Thank you.
I have to make mention of the waitresses who were superb and nothing was too much trouble for them. As for the food it was completely outstanding!! I did find the chef and congratulate him personally but would like you to pass on our thanks to him again. The guests have not stopped talking about the food no wonder he could not understand why I wanted to bring my own brownies!!! I wanted to give you flowers but when we came to dismantle it was to early and the office was closed I am so sorry. I have only praise for you and your team and thank you again for your professionalism and incredible organisation.

Good morning Shalain,
Wow where to begin. Brendan and I have now been happily married for 8 weeks. We cannot believe how quickly the time came and went. We cannot thank you enough for the excellent job that you and your staff did for us on that wonderful day, the memories we have will be with us forever and as everyone keeps telling us it was definitely the best wedding they have ever been to. Everyone was so impressed as to how professional the staff were and how well everyone was looked after. There was never a time when someone didn't have a drink and the bar tab lasted a lot longer than we anticipated and was well organised. The food was absolutely amazing, another aspect people kept raving about.
I realised on the day that there were a few people there that I had forgotten off the list (obviously in my bride panic mode), but I didn't have to worry about a thing as they organised seats without worrying us about anything. The hall looked amazing, it brought tears to my eyes when I first saw it as it was more than I ever dreamed it to be.

As I am sure you are aware trying to plan a wedding from the other side of the world can be very difficult, but if it was not for you and my wonderful mother we don't know what the day would have ended up like. We cannot thank you both enough for making our special day as amazing as it was. Every aspect was taken care of right down to the last intricate detail.
