I don’t know where to begin, Shalain – you were absolutely amazing, I don’t know what I would have done without you and Amanda. I know every couples dream (especially for the bride) is to have the Perfect Wedding Day - our day was (almost) perfect but no fault to Collisheen. Everything was amazing ... the service was outstanding from the beginning to the end..you put my mind at rest when it was racing at a ridiculous pace just knowing it was all under control. Thank you merely isn’t enough, Shalain I could sing your praises all day long for being so understanding and patient at the best of times, for following up and ensuring our day ran smoothly – you took care of the little things that made the biggest difference to me especially. I thank you for being there to deal with our suppliers, for taking care of the finer details and more importantly for allowing me to be a bride and relax on the day. Thank you for arranging lunch for us...and for making us all feel so welcome at Collisheen!!! You even brought the sun out ... after a miserable week of rain.

Amanda, I didn’t see you much (because you were so busy ensuring our guests were all happy) but believe me when I tell you – you will never be forgotten!!! You made such an impression on my family and all our guests – they all knew who you were and had the nicest things to say. I think we only really met at the end of the evening ... everyone has said you could have been in 10 places at once, you were amazing – my mother couldn’t and can’t stop singing yours and Shalain’ praises, neither can we. You were an absolute blessing on the day! If anyone needed anything you were there, our suppliers were well taken care of under your supervision along with your team of barmen, waiters and staff. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Especially for handling and assisting with the disastrous end to the evening…which we won’t get in to - needless to say the keys were later found. You are amazing at your job, you get so involved and think nothing of getting your hands dirty if necessary. You are very passionate about what you do and it’s great to see… Collisheen is an incredible venue and have staff that make it stand out above the rest ... we couldn’t be happier and thanks to you all our wedding day was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Dear Shalain,
I know I thanked you yesterday morning for the success of Tarryn and Tienie's wedding on Saturday 13th June 2009, but I would like it recorded on paper and passed on to all members of staff. Your own professional manner and ongoing pleasantness is unique and rare. You obviously love what you do and it shows ... thanks very much. Lindi was exceptionally diligent and got everything done efficiently and with a good attitude. The barman, (unfortunately his name eludes me just at the moment) was so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Each one of the staff did their job without complaint ... great! The hostess on Saturday evening, I think her name was Amanda (?) was also brilliant, went way beyond the call of duty ... even moving a couch into the venue for one of the kids to sleep on. She was so friendly, chatting to the guests and making sure everything ran smoothly and calmly.

The food was brilliant, plenty of it and so, so tasty! I heard much raving about the snacks too, though I did not personally sample them. Compliments to the cook, as they say! I seem to be running out of superlatives at the moment, so suffice to say that we will happily recommend Collisheen as a wedding venue to anyone who asks.

Dear Shalain,
On Friday the 29th May my daughter Malindi had the wedding of her dreams. It was the culmination of a vision I think she has had since a child and in every way it exceeded even her expectations. She dreamed of a magical fairyland where she would be the princess and everything would for one wonderful night be perfect. Perfect it was.
Yes we were able to fill it with beautiful flowers and decorate it all and provide her with the perfect backdrop but that was not all. I do not have enough praise for you especially Shalain, and the entire Collisheen staff for the outstanding wedding you gave us. From the time I arrived on Thursday to do the flowers it was obvious that you had everything under superb control. We were met with hot coffee and tea and home made biscuits and nothing was too much trouble for you or your staff. Your concern for me on a personal level was so appreciated and all you did not go unnoticed. Thank you.
I have to make mention of the waitresses who were superb and nothing was too much trouble for them. As for the food it was completely outstanding!! I did find the chef and congratulate him personally but would like you to pass on our thanks to him again. The guests have not stopped talking about the food no wonder he could not understand why I wanted to bring my own brownies!!! I wanted to give you flowers but when we came to dismantle it was to early and the office was closed I am so sorry. I have only praise for you and your team and thank you again for your professionalism and incredible organisation.

Good morning Shalain,
Wow where to begin. Brendan and I have now been happily married for 8 weeks. We cannot believe how quickly the time came and went. We cannot thank you enough for the excellent job that you and your staff did for us on that wonderful day, the memories we have will be with us forever and as everyone keeps telling us it was definitely the best wedding they have ever been to. Everyone was so impressed as to how professional the staff were and how well everyone was looked after. There was never a time when someone didn't have a drink and the bar tab lasted a lot longer than we anticipated and was well organised. The food was absolutely amazing, another aspect people kept raving about.
I realised on the day that there were a few people there that I had forgotten off the list (obviously in my bride panic mode), but I didn't have to worry about a thing as they organised seats without worrying us about anything. The hall looked amazing, it brought tears to my eyes when I first saw it as it was more than I ever dreamed it to be.

As I am sure you are aware trying to plan a wedding from the other side of the world can be very difficult, but if it was not for you and my wonderful mother we don't know what the day would have ended up like. We cannot thank you both enough for making our special day as amazing as it was. Every aspect was taken care of right down to the last intricate detail. Once again thank you so much and thank you to your staff. We hope that you are all well.

Thanks SOOO much for such a lovely day!! We had the most incredible night, and I was so impressed with Amanda and the staff. They were all so professional, and we didn’t have any problems all night long. Also, as much as the plated meals were a little tricky to organise, I am SOOO glad I did it, because everyone seemed so impressed with their meals!! It also made life easier than standing in a queue to collect your food.
Also, a BIG thank you to the waiter who served the main table. He was brilliant! Every time I finished my drink, he made sure there was another fresh one waiting for me! I am very sorry I didn’t find him later to tell him how brilliant he was. Please would you tell him how thankful I was.

Everybody that attended the wedding cannot stop talking about the beautiful venue, the delicious food (they say that at weddings the food is usually so tasteless that they end up buying takeaways) and of course they say that Wayne was also one of the best they have ever heard.
I have only received fantastic comments about everything so now I can sit back and say all the stress and worries were all worth it in the long run but I just think you guys made it all possible. Jerome and I, Ashnie, would never be able to express accurately, the immense joy, satisfaction and gratitude we have to you and the Collisheen team for your help at our wedding. Our wedding day, 22 December 2008 became a fairytale-reality at Collisheen Estate. It's been one month since the wedding and we are still receiving loads of compliments about the professionalism and courtesy of your entire staff, including the car guards, barman and waiters.
I must thank your co-ordinator, Shalain for being so patient, humble, friendly and fun during all the wedding preps. Her courtesy phone calls of encouragement, friendly advice and wedding preparation confirmations were much appreciated. Thank you Shalain.
Jerome and I were thoroughly impressed with the seating plans, food, the croaking of the frogs and the perfect reception plan co-ordination. I often boast to guests that we planned the wedding right down to the toothpicks. And yes of course, everything was perfect!!!
Planning our wedding with you was filled with so much fun and excitement, that I really missed the stress, worry and anxiety of it all!! My husband and I were amazingly stress-free because of our confidence in your Collisheen staff - I'm already hinting to him to have our vows renewed at Collisheen for our 1st year anniversary!!!

Terri and I would like to thank you and all the staff at Collisheen for making our wedding day everything we had ever hoped for! Without your help our wedding would not have been possible, everything was so well organised and all those unusual requirements were never a problem. From our very first meeting you were like a friend we had always known, we were completely comfortable and relaxed dealing with you and just knew that our wedding would be perfect. I honestly felt like I was the only bride you were dealing with or had ever dealt with, you made me feel so special - no bride could ask for more!
We are still receiving compliments on how fantastic everything looked, how organised our wedding was from start to finish, how pleasant and helpful all the staff were on the night, how great the food was, the list is endless. Thanks to Wayne the dance floor was never empty, the music was simply fantastic! Thanks to Amanda and all the staff on the night, it truly was perfect. Shalain, it was such a memorable day and although it went quickly our memories will last forever.
Thank you so much for everything, we will definitely recommend Collisheen to anyone we know getting married in South Africa. We will pop in to see you on our next visit and will send you a couple of pictures as promised. Thanks again for everything, you truly made it a magical day for us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent service I received from all your staff. Your venue is absolutely beautiful and the service and food was definitely a cut above the rest. All my guests complimented me on an excellent choice in venue and I have not heard a single complaint from anyone, including other people who have also recently been married at Collisheen. I had been to every venue from South Coast to North Coast and the Midlands and in my opinion your venue was better than any I had seen.
In particular, I would like to compliment you on the outstanding performance of your Functions Co-ordinator – Shalain Padayachee. In my 10 years experience in our own business (which is in a service related industry) and having dealt with numerous staff members and suppliers, her professionalism, attention to detail and efficiency is truly of the highest standard I have seen. Wherever she could accommodate us, she did, and always had a happy, polite and friendly manner. Apart from all of this, she also added a very special touch to my wedding with her amazing and sincere personality. She really made me feel special and pampered. She made me feel like a bride. This is a quality which I personally feel made my day special, her enthusiasm made it seem as though my wedding was the first one, and not the hundredth one that the venue had seen. I am positive that with Shalain on your team your venue will not be able to be matched by any other. I wish we could find a few staff members of her calibre.
The experience was so great that I am trying to think of another reason to have a function at Collisheen.

The planning leading up to the day was professionally and excellently executed by all Shailain, Wayne and Corrine. I was especially impressed that overlays were made for our wedding to match the colour sheme. They really did help and assist in everyway they could. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives so far, and everything about the day was amazing! Everyone praised us on the stunning venue we had chosen, it is still a talking point to this day! A lot of friends have chosen to get married at Collisheen because of the appearance of the venue, the service received and the delicious food. The staff and management were excellent, especially the lady who found my lost wedding band under the bridge during the ceremony! I will be eternally grateful to her. As if rain & hail were not bad enough - all the power in the greater Ballito area shuts down. Under normal circumstances this would not have been an issue except that this was our wedding day! All we can say Jennifer is thank you! You and your very proffessional team overcame these obsticals without anyone noticing a problem to begin with. We were told that the food was cooked off site due to the power outage? If this is the case, well done! We had rave revues about the lovely dinner and excellent service. We realise that the wedding was 7 months ago but our friends and family are still commenting on how memorable our wedding was. Collisheen is one of the main reasons for this.
